I have become absolutely enthralled with the sunflowers as each new one opens in my back yard in Westwood. This morning's light enhanced the brilliancy of the colors of this sunflower and helped to highlight the bee posing on top.
I have been intrigued with all the different permutations of this flower that I've noticed on the site and around town. I've seen them with black, brown, and yellow-green centers, with petals that look more like Black-eyed Susans (like this one) and petals that are just on the fringe, and different shades of yellow.
