Gold finch - all fluffed-up by Virginia Wilson

Day and night, I've been out in my yard trying to photograph the finches which just love the sunflowers which I've planted. I think that they are getting much more used to me being there, as will now fly in when I am standing back there with my tripod and camera in hand. If I am real slow to move, I am able to inch closer. Yeah!!
