This shot was so unusual I'm glad I decided to peek out that morning. It was caused by the swirling and drifting snow. I guess the overall conditions kept the snow piling up on the gutter.
I experienced the same thing with the snow hanging on the gutters of my house in Oxford. I went out and knocked the snow down with a broom because it became so heavy that it started to sag the wires for the cable and electric. I also had to knock the snow off of the bushes as they were collapsing from the weight. Nice exposure of the snow.
Thanks to all for the comments. Shortly after taking the shot, my husband cleaned it all off before it could do any damage. As they say "Timing is everything".

While I hated the snow...this is a very interesting picture with the upside down waves and the mounds on the bushes.

I'm trying to figure out how the snow did that on the roof edge. That's really weird.

I don't think you'll see too many snow shots like this!
