
In 1861, Bishop Purcell celebrated the first Mass this building, the architecture is an amazing site. I was taking photos of the outside of this church and was invited in my the Priest telling me the alter had just been freshly painted. I was taken aback by it's beauty and will forever be grateful for his kindness.

My father-in-law loved this church, his funeral was here last February, while standing near the head of the casket I looked up and saw this, I believe he saw it also, gives me a warm feeling, thanks Chuck.
