
Here is the site of the famous Norwood eminent domain case that has become a nationally recognized planning law case over the past few years. This site is located near Interstate 71, right across from the current Rookwood Commons & Pavilion. On September 3, 2008, the owner finally gave in and sold to the Rookwood Partners for $1.25 million, clearing the way for development.

I've already made a comment on someone else's shot of this before I saw yours, Alex, but I appreciate the extra info in your caption. I just wondered whether they still were there, with the windows all boarded up. I remember when they were putting in the Levee--they removed an entire street and a favorite local establishment on it. I think that also was controversial at the time.
