This guy must have been in a bad way to be out in broad daylight, in the snow. He seemed to be pretty oblivious to anything around him, so I was able to get within 15 feet or so.
Before I adopted all my dogs, they would eat from the cat food bowls every night and come right up to me so that I had to discourage them from getting too close. Had one rub against my leg in the dark once and almost petted what I thought was my cat!! They ate right alongside the cats, skunks and raccoons. It took a lot of encouragement for evening human visitors to get out of their cars and I had a low return rate! Nice capture!
