If you've spent any time downtown, I'm sure you've seen Avtar Gill. He wears homemade signs on his hat advertising the people, places and events that are important to him.
I was wondering where you were - I was about to look you up by your flckr name - you know I love your shot of this guy! And I have yet to see him out downtown. :) (mycuteladybug)
What I really like about this shot is the est. date of 1905. There is really something about the connection to the past. I'm glad you did this one in black and white for that reason. My grandfather's art store, The A.E. Wilde Company was on the corner of 9th and Race for over 100 years before he died. This photo reminds me of all the merchants who have "stuck it out" with Cincinnati because the believe in its timeless beauty and worth. They didn't bail out!
