I remember a quarter a bottle--and the machine was short and red, and you had to pull down on a handle to release the drinks. I also remember the kind that looked like big coolers, and you had to slide the bottle along a slat and pull it up through an opening after you put the money in. Most of my students don't even know what a turntable is . . .
