Some Things Never Change. Chalk and an eraser are essential tools for a classroom. To teach you need to write and draw because "a picture is worth a thousand words".

I am a hold-out for chalk myself. Some teachers in my building have dry-erase boards. Can't stand the squeak or the smell of the pens.
