I noticed that this humming bird would make its rounds to the feeders and flowers and then land upon this bend in the sunflower to rest. This happened over and over again. So, I came up with a make-shift bird-blind (a beach towel draped over my head) so I could inch my way closer. I stood up on a bench and waited - sweating like crazy in my "bird- blind". When the little hummer came and landed I had to back-off on my zoom because I was cutting his its tail off - it was just that close! Patience... lots of patience.
