Found this gem of a building, on my way to work one day. It stands at the end of a residential street, with homes all around it. It was moved here in the 1800s, from Mt Adams, when the smoke from the city became too thick to see the stars there. From the look of early postcards, it stood alone on the hill then. The observatory offers evening viewing of the stars, weather permitting.
