Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), providing about 17 million rides per year in Greater Cincinnati. Metro brings approximately 20 percent of downtown Cincinnati's workforce into the city. It operates 365 days a year and serves Hamilton County residents, as well as providing commuter routes from Clermont, Warren and Butler counties into Cincinnati. Metro celebrates its 40th anniversary on Aug. 15, 2013, and is sponsoring this challenge to capture the people (riders, drivers, etc.), neighborhoods, interactions, and, of course, the vehicles involved in the region's primary source of public transportation.
