The Yellow Spot
Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun.
- Pablo Picasso
This is a multi-shot panoramic; all shots are 3-exposure HDRs.
Cincinnati saw some serious wet days in the spring of 2011. This was taken on April 26th, 2011; after Cincinnati had already seen a lot of rain - more was on the way. The Ohio River was up to 54.5 feet and many side streets, river-level towns, and more were flooded.
This shot is twelve portrait-oriented exposures merged together in Photoshop. It was taken with the surprisingly-sharp Tamron 17-50/2.8 and if you are able to see it at 100% crop, you can make out the individual seats in GABP. This is Carlton.
Only weeks old, Carlton sneaks in one of his many cat-naps before charging ahead into more mischief.
I was able to get down to the riverfront recently to shoot a couple of panoramics of the city and surrounding area. The sun and clouds put on a pretty good show!
